Darpa.mil RAM Brain Implant Initiative

In 2013, Obama Created the RAM Brain Implant Initiative

This was done through the “Brain Initiative”, a group of programs, which stemmed from the growing problems associated with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). These medical condidtions, by far, outnumber any other ailments or physical injuries associated with military combat. Peace would be another solution, but the Obama administration seeks to create another route.

View a full list of the programs created by the “Brain Initiative”, including the RAM Brain Implant program.

You can find the announcement of the “Brain Initiative” in Barack Obama’s 2013 State of the Union Address. This was the first publicly announced brain implant program.

DARPA Brain Implant

A Little Brain Implant Background

Unclassified 2010 DARPA Budget explains brain implants will allow for super soldiers. (pg. 203-204)

May 2009 a few DoD documents were unclassified revealing the research of brain implants to be used to create super humans

The document reads: “The Bioinspired Sensors thrust explores the application of biomimetic principles to materials and devices of interest to the DoD. Specifically, the unique characteristics of biologically derived material and devices will be exploited through understanding, control and emulation of the structure and chemistry of the interface between man-made and biotic materials. This includes an effort to understand the mammalian olfactory system and develop a system that performs equal to or better than a canine in distance and level of chemical detection. Biological hearing systems also provide localization accuracy much better than predicted by simple array theory. Development of implantable optical neural interface devices will enable “repair” of disrupted neural pathways due to catastrophic spinal or nerve damage.” SOURCE: DARPA UNCLASSIFIED Department of Defense Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Budget Estimates May 2009. You will find that quote on page 203 – 204 under “Bioinspired Sensors“, somewhere around 53 million dollars is requested for further implementation of this older program.  Basically it projects much better hearing and smell for soldiers in combat with these implants.

Here is another fully disclosed detailed document from 2009 which talks about brain implants in all amputees.

Here is the 2016 Budget Unclassified February of this year that talks about those RAM brain implants that were supposed help people with PTSD and TBI – now they control limbs

This is the final step in this technology. Full wireless control over people’s thoughts, emotions, and now physical movement.

New RAM Program Brain Implant is being sold as a Cure

RAM stands for Restoring Active Memory.  Although this program reaches far beyond memory and restoration.

How many people have traumatic brain injuries each year?”

Traumatic Brain Injuries are “Diagnosed in more than 270,000 military servicemembers since 2000 and affecting an estimated 1.7 million U.S. civilians each year.” SOURCE: Faul M, Xu L, Wald MM, Coronado VG. Traumatic Brain Injury in the United States: Emergency Department Visits, Hospitalizations and Deaths 2002–2006. Atlanta (GA): Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control; 2010.

How many people are diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder each year?

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: “About 8 million adults have PTSD during a given year. This is only a small portion of those who have gone through a trauma.” SOURCE: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (2015) PTSD: National Center for PTSD. RAM Program – The Brain Implant

In 2013, when this program was first created by DARPA – the two groups, those with PTSD and TBI were the target areas of study. This means the RAM program aimed to create a brain implant that could make those peoples lives better. The numbers add up to about 10 million people per year, that would be receiving these brain implants. On top of that, there are countless (most likely hundreds of millions) amounts of people who are living with these conditions today. Would these people also receive the brain implants? Or only new cases?

2014: DARPA says, “Brain Implant is a Medical Device”

This would be where DARPA threw out all those facts about millions of people going on living lives suffering from brain problems and how the brain implant they are selling will stop that. This is the “roll out” phase. DARPA makes references to the existing devices and notes UCLA will aid in the continued development of smaller more powerful brain implants. “After developing an advanced, new wireless neuromodulation device—featuring ten-times smaller size and much higher spatial resolution than existing devices—the UCLA team will implant such devices into the entorhinal area and hippocampus of patients with traumatic brain injury.”

Specifically, RAM performers aim to develop and test wireless, fully implantable neural-interface medical devices that can serve as “neuroprosthetics”—technology that can effectively bridge the gaps that interfere with an individual’s ability to encode new memories or retrieve old ones. 2015: DARPA says, “Brain Implant for Everyone”

Now in 2015, the Brain Implant Initiative has evolved into a program that not only encompases injured people, but all military personel, and civialians. DARPA is selling this idea as a super power. The technocratic movement is gaining more momentum and the Department of Defense is funding it.

Here is a quote released earlier this year:

“In the long run, we hope RAM Replay will identify core memory-strengthening mechanisms and give rise to a generalizable set of solutions applicable to the challenge of memory reliability in an increasingly information-dense world. That could benefit civilians and Service members alike in areas as diverse as general education, job retraining and battlefield awareness.”

In other words, expect brain implants to be pushed into our schools.  This means children with learning disabilities or similar areas of education first.  Then “job training”, we can expect the countries job programs which are funded federally to include a brain implant.  Perhaps even requiring the brain implant before accepting unemployment, as we already see requirements to enroll in job search programs mandatory for unemployment collection.

DARPA Brain Implant Nano Platforms

DARPA also has a program called In VIVO Nano Platforms (IVN)

This program seeks to inject specialized nano devices directly into the human bloodstream and cell structure. This is the merge of man with machine. As the brain implants are rolled out into the public over the next few years, DARPA will be working on IVN which essentially will make people walking machines not controlled by a single implant but directly infused with millions of standalone nano machines programmed to do anything.

Start your research on IVN here.
