“If Trump loses, I’m grabbing my musket,” former Illinois Representative Joe Walsh wrote on Twitter last week
He is apparently not alone in that sentiment, as paramilitary groups all over the country prepare for a Clinton presidency.
The III% Security Force, a heat-packing militia, has begun prepping for “what they expect to be intense fallout from the 2016 election,” according to Reuters correspondent Justin Mitchell, whose latest report showcases the group’s Jackson, Georgia, campsite/training facility.
“We need to be prepared for all situations,” explains Chris Hill (aka Blood Agent), who founded the group in 2014. “But in this election, you know, I think if Hillary Clinton wins this election, I think there’s gonna be unrest from the right. I think that if Donald Trump wins the election, there’s going to be unrest on the left.”
“I think if Hillary Clinton wins, she’s going to push for anti-gun legislation,” Hill added. “We’re prepared to do everything to prevent an infringement upon our Second Amendment right.” [SALON]
Other groups are ordering members to patrol polls on election day.
Amid growing concerns about possible violence and vote fraud on Election Day, the Oath Keepers, a national group of former military and law enforcement officers, has urged its members to “blend in” with voters and do “incognito intelligence gathering and crime spotting” at polling places across the country on Nov. 8.
“In particular, we are calling on our retired police officers, our military intelligence veterans, and our Special Warfare veterans (who are well trained in covert observation and intelligence gathering) to take the lead,” group leader Stewart Rhodes said in a “call to action” on the group’s website and in a YouTube video urging members to “help stop voter fraud.” [WASHINGTONPOST]
